How do I pay for parking?
All parking must be prepaid with a credit card before entry. This also applies to drop-ins.
How does the parking work?
After completing Your booking, You will receive a receipt and QR code via email. Please note that the email will be sent from “mail@gardermoenparkering.no” and may end up in Your spam folder. Upon arrival, license plate recognition will register Your car and open the gate. If You have changed vehicles, manually inserted wrong information or weather conditions prevent license plate recognition, use the QR code provided, to open the barrier.
Important: If you need to use QR code to enter, the same QR code must also be used upon Exit.
When exiting, use the same QR code at the barrier, if barrier does not automatically open via license plate recognition. Please note, if You have parked longer than initially planned, You will need to pay with a credit card upon exit. This is done at the barriers from your car.
When can I enter and exit?
You can enter up to 3 hours before and 3 hours after the scheduled entry time on Your booking.If Your stay is extended, notify us thru our contact form. Payment is done at the barriere upon exit with Visa or Mastercard.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes, it is possible to change Your license plate number free of charge before the parking period begins, provided You have created a profile before booking. Just log in and ammend Your platenumber thru options on Your dashboard. If You have booked as a guest user, use our contact form and we will help You. However if this change is needed outside our regular opening hours, You can still enter the parking area with the received QR code. You can also cancel Your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival. After this, a 50% refund applies up to scheduled parking start, after this no refund is available.
What times should I use when making a booking?
It is recommended to consider the time before departure and after arrival when booking. Therefore, when booking parking, use at least 2 hours before and after the scheduled flight time.
The barrier does not open on entry?
Have You entered the correct license plate number and arriving within the 6 hours entry time?
You can only enter with license plate recognition during the time specified in the confirmation sent via email. It’s valid 3 hours before and 3 hours after the booked time. If You arrive outside this time-span, try using the QR code.
If that doesn’t work, contact Shuttle for assistance to enter.
Note: If You use the QR code on entry, You must also use it on exit.
The barrier does not open on exit?
If You used the QR code on entry, You must also use it on exit.
If you have exceeded the allowed time (3 hours past the scheduled end time), payment is required at the barrier on exit.

I’m trying to book on the website as a guest user, but can’t get past entering the license plate?
When entering the license plate, ensure that the information is accurate for the license plate recognition to work.
The “Access Media Type” field is not in use in our system, so it should be left empty.
Select the correct country for Your license plate and ensure no spaces are used in the license plate/number field—no spaces at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end. Only letters and numbers in sequence. Example: AB12345, not AB 12345.
Then click “Add.”
Problems booking with an existing user account, what am I doing wrong?
We’ve noticed some issues along the way and will publish solutions as soon as possible.
When creating a free account, You must verify it using the verification link in the email sent to You.
Check Your spam folder; our emails will end up there on first contact.
If the verification was not completed, the email You used will “block” You from completing the booking.
You will need to contact us and have Your account deleted through the contact form, and to proceed with a booking use an alternative email on a guest user.
If You have a verified account and tried to book a parking, but are not directed to the payment solution, delete Your stored creditcard information on Your profile. Proceed then and complete the booking by entering the card number manually when asked for.
This can happen when there is an update from the card provider, e.g., Mastercard, which recently had an update in October 2024.
Once You store it again, it should work next time untill new update.
I clicked on payment, but it will not take me to Nets and the payment solution?
If you are using a MAC, we have found that this can sometimes be an issue.
Try using your phone or another device.
If it doesn’t work on a regular PC/tablet, check your settings to “allow pop-up pages.”
My booking shows as successful, but the payment “fails”?
After entering your card information and accepting the terms, the payment will begin.
Do not leave the page while this payment is processing, except when using Bank ID.
It is important that the payment completes without any interruptions in the process.
Once the message of successful booking appears, you will see a gray coloured QR code, and below that, the booking will be listed as “processing.”
Important: Wait a few seconds, and the QR code will change from gray to black.
When the QR code is black, it is safe to leave the page.
I have not received email confirmations?
Did you enter the correct email during booking? Have you checked your spam folder?
If you still don’t see it, use the contact form, and we can resend it.
If I don’t know the return date, what do I do?
Our parking facility is controlled by a system that requires a start and end time for parking. If You are unsure when You will return, You have 2 choices:
Either book the time You are absolutely sure You will need parking and if You need an extension, this can be communicated via our contact form. We would like to inform You that you will have to pay for the excess time spent in the barrier at the time of exit. The price will then start a new period and is more expensive than if You had booked the entire period in advance.
Alternatively, book the entire period with an extension in advance, and then the total price will be more affordable. We would like to inform You that no refunds will be given for unused parking time. Refer to our terms and conditions
What is the price for arriving early or late check out, after booked time?
We strongly recommend taking flight times into account and booking parking time with a safety margin before and after specified flight times. The price for a short extension of an already booked period is very limited.
If you arrive outside the time period set at 3 hours before and 3 hours after the start time, or more than 3 hours after the end time, the barriers will not open automatically. If you arrive too early on the day of departure, You will need help from our Shuttle service. In those cases with late checkout, payment will have to be made at the barrier on the way out. (Visa or Mastercard).
If there have been changes to Your departure and You know this well in advance of your arrival at Gardermoen Parking, we ask travelers to cancel their old parking and book new parking with the correct time. Visitors can do this themselves via the link sent by email. Refunds of the old booking will be made automatically when You cancel, and funds will be refunded within 4-5 business days. NB: It is not possible to change or cancel the booking after the start time.!
Regarding the price for early arrival or late departure, the price calculation is based on a new time period. This means that calculation start on day 1. We inform that days 1-5 will are more expensive than day 7-14. So cheapest option is always to pre-booked for the entire period at once. There is an hourly payment until the new daily price applies.
Ex:
If you have booked a week /7 days , this can cost around 7-800kr. If you book with a good margin on both sides of the flight times, the price offer will probably be calculated for 8 days. The price for 8 versus 7 days will only increase minimally, because you book them in one complete time period.
If, on the other hand, you have booked 7 days, but arrive on day 8, you will have to pay for a new day on all areas starting from 240kr. (The hourly price until the new day is the most reasonable.)

My car is parked, but I need to extend my parking?
A valid reservation at our parking area is activated by driving the car into the parking lot using the license plate recognition or QR code. A parking reservation can only be activated in and out one time. It is not possible to have multiple entries and exits on each reservation.
If you need to extend your parking time, you will be asked to pay the excess on your way out. Look at the display at the toll booth and have your credit card ready. Payment is made while you are seated in your car.
Important: It is not possible to extend your parking time online, as the new reservation is not activated with a new drive-in. The system will still require payment for the extended time according to the original reservation.
